Bonsai Education at First Branch Bonsai
First Branch Bonsai is located in Lakewood, Colorado, and is run by Todd Schlafer. When he began his obsession with bonsai, he sought out the best teacher in the United States, landing him with Ryan Neil of Bonsai Mirai. Todd began going to Mirai in 2012, and he continues to travel to Mirai to this day to continue his education and collaborate with Ryan Neil.
What do the courses look like at First Branch?
Todd’s goal is to educate students at the highest level possible; not to cut corners. He seeks to push students to their best, resulting in high-standard students. He wants to push bonsai, think outside the box, and collaborate with students to reach amazing outcomes that working with others can stimulate.
